Bio

Out of Los Angeles and into the fire – MIWA’s brand new album, “Hell Is Real” brings 80s heavy metal screaming into the 21st century. With catchy riffs, soaring solos, ferocious vocals, and an all-star lineup solidifying their undeniable dominance on the front lines of today’s heavy metal.

Formed by frontwoman MIWA, and bandleader Sean Lee in 2010, they successfully recruited several metal legends to compliment their powerhouse lineup. Fronted by the fierce and thunderous vocals of  frontwoman Miwa, and backed up by heavy metal virtuoso Sean Lee they are joined by legendary bass player Billy Sheehan (Steve Vai, David Lee Roth, Mr. Big,  Sons Of Apollo), as well as bombastic drummer Sean Elg (Nihilist, Cage,), and veteran shredder Mitch Perry (Lita Ford, Cher, Faster Pussycat, Bobby Blotzer’s Ratt).

With their lineup completed, they forged their unique brand of metal which has attracted additional legendary performers such as world-famous rock drummer Chris Slade of AC/DC who said of the band “There’s an original band called MIWA who is a heavy metal Japanese Lady Singer, you wouldn’t believe that voice would come out of that tiny lady”.

MIWA’s signature sound has received worldwide praise from American, Japanese, and European music critics and tastemakers alike. Currently, they are gearing up to bring their metal to the masses. You can expect to see MIWA on tour in the very near future.
